Sinoquipe Mountain Man Camp

Spend a week living in a wilderness outpost at the Sinoquipe Scout Reservation while learning first-hand about the lives of mountain men across the country while developing new skill-sets, leadership skills, and a sense of self-reliance and discipline.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

  • Black Powder Shooting
  • Blacksmithing while Creating Your Own Survival Knife!
  • Dutch Oven and Cast Iron Cooking
  • Erect Primitive Shelters To Sleep In
  • Tomahawk Throwing
  • Wilderness Survival Skills

Scouts are not with the rest of their units while at camp (if their unit is registered for the same week), but sleep at outpost in primitive shelters, prepare meals over a campfire or in Dutch ovens, and have the opportunity to fulfill various program-based merit badges.

There is limited space available.

Must be a registered Boy Scout 15 years of age or older to participate.

COST: $395.00 (in-council Scouts)

LEADERS: $200.00 (in-council and out-of-council Leaders)  Leaders coming to camp at this reduced rate must participate solely in the Mountain Man program while there.

Reservations for our Mountain Man program open up at the same time as Merit Badge opening on April 15th at 6:00PM.  You must be paid in full in order to RSVP.  Mountain Main fills up fast, so you should prioitize signing up your Scouts first if they want to attend.
